ExaminersAn essential stage of every competition procedure is the preliminary examination. This is the phase when the entries are thoroughly examined for compliance with the technical and architectural specifications set for the competition. They are analyzed in depth, in order to provide the jury with a well-grounded report on which to base its decisions.
The examiners conducting the preliminary examination review the entries from an architectural point of view and present their findings to the jury. They see to the interests of the sponsor and in advising the jury they act as trustees of the competition entries’ authors. At [phase eins]., this demanding task is performed exclusively by experienced architects with a university degree (Diplom-Ingenieur Architekten).

The permanent [phase eins]. team of seasoned architectural examiners is supplemented by qualified independent architects and, if required, landscape architects and specialist engineers, whose services we have been employing for many years.
