The site includes the quarters Shie´b Ali, Shie´b Amer, Ajiad and Beer Al-Gassal. The area is bordered by the 2nd Ring Road and the quarters Sho´bat Koraish and Al-Malawi on the north; by the quarters Ajiad and Ajiad Al-Masafi on the south; and by Al-Masjad Al-Haram Road, the 1st Ring Road and King Abdulaziz Road (Ajiad Al-Sadd) on the west. To the east, the site adjoins to the extension of the mountain lands of Jabal Khandama.
Four existing tunnel systems affect the project site: the Shaib Ali tunnels following the 1st Ring Road, the 2nd Ring Road tunnels, the Al Sadd (King Abdul Aziz) including pedestrian tunnels and the Al Faysaliah tunnels.
