Current status	As of December 2007, the project is being prepared for the master plan process.
Objective	The aim of Jabal Khandama Development Project is to access Khandama mountain through the engineering and construction of a new transportation network and to prepare land for building. Apart from site development, the current stage of the project entails land subdivision and master planning. Master plan focus	The aim of Jabal Khandama Development Company is to provide a unique and high-quality master plan, approved by the High Commission for the Development of Makkah Province, on which basis it can transform the topographically challenging area. Urban design The master plan design will reflect the unique image of Makkah and enhance its inspiring urban morphology, particularly in relation to the topography and specified public areas for pilgrims. Development of an efficient infrastructure and transportation system The infrastructure and traffic concept, especially concerning the road network, pedestrian walkways, public transport and parking space is of major priority for the success of the Project. Feasibility The technical, economical and legal feasibility of the design is considered to be one of the main requirements for the development process, especially regarding the divisibility of the plots, the suitability of the Project to be constructed in several phases and the economic feasibility as to construction and operation.
