IntroductionTwenty years ago Leuphana University moved from the city center to a former barracks area, build in early 1930ies. All buildings and outdoors have been refurbished until 1998. Nowadays the University prepares itself for the new era of sustainability and innovation. The future Leuphana Campus is strongly linked with the design aesthetics of Daniel Libeskind, whose new Convention and Research Center will be the thriving heart of university. In accordance with Libeskind’s key design principles the new landscape architecture will have to turn the currently poorly designed outside facilities into a Campus, where students and visitors enjoy and benefit from.
